| meredith college Raleigh, North Carolina Meredith College, originally chartered in 1891, has actively shaped generations of female students. A diverse and expanding liberal arts institution, Meredith is located on a 225-acre campus in Raleigh, North Carolina and is home to nearly 2,300 students and over 600 faculty and staff. The Campus Master Plan by Shepley Bulfinch Richardson and Abbott and Lappas + Havener, PA creates a framework for the next phase of the College’s evolution, anticipating space and facility needs for the next twenty years. Focusing on the open space and landscape systems, Lappas + Havener, PA defined opportunities to increase social interaction and collaborative learning by improving the organizational and aesthetic quality of the campus through a hierarchy of defined open spaces, landscape treatments and outdoor gathering spaces. |
