BTI Performing Arts Center
Raleigh, North Carolina

Raleigh’s main civic center for the performing arts completes the terminus of its downtown central axis created as part of the original 1792 city plan. Anchoring the alignment of the Legislative Mall, State Capitol and Fayetteville Street pedestrian mall, the Performing Arts Center plaza has at its own focus a water fountain and urban greens. Upper granite terraces link the plaza with entrances to the existing Greek Revival Memorial Auditorium and the flanking new symphonic hall and opera theater.
