LORD RESEARCH CENTER MASTER PLAN Cary, North Carolina This 64-acre research park was designed to support the interaction of ideas and product research conducted at the Lord Corporation by creating connections among various research and office buildings while blending them into a woodland setting. Vehicular functions operate around a perimeter loop road with parking sited in individual "parking rooms." New buildings overlook forested slopes, central landscaped commons and an internal pedestrian walkway system that links building entrances, plazas and surrounding natural areas.
