One of North Carolina’s premier cultural and recreational landmarks will undergo a $24 million transformation, including expanded lodging, facilities and programs many of which have their roots in the history of Tanglewood, the story of the land, its settlement, and its past use as a working farm and a country leisure home. Other new facilities in the 1400-acre park combine education and recreational experiences to create new attractions that diversify the park’s family-based appeal including a golf learning center, day camp, equestrian facilities, gardening, environmental education, historic and cultural activities.
